The Big Reveal...
Bao Bao the Baby Panda, America Bound
I have some truly exciting news to share! I can’t begin to express how grateful I am for all the support you’ve shown me since launching my first children’s picture book back in September. These past six months have been incredibly special-filled with classroom visits, reconnecting with former students, spending time in libraries, and meaningful conversations that have meant so much to me.
And now for the big news…I’m so excited to announce the sequel entitled Bao Bao the Baby: America Bound. This book will feature my nephew Jack, along with an appearance from my niece and nephew Lucius and Faith. I just submitted my third edit and my heart is so full thinking about what’s to come. I’m looking forward to expanding my school and library visits in the new school year and continuing this journey with you and your families!

The Bao Bao Story
Bao Bao, the Baby Panda is an inspiring story about an eight-year-old girl named Sylvia who witnesses a Giant Panda Bear giving birth at the Beijing Zoo in China. Sylvia shares stories and pictures of Bao Bao as she changes from a newborn to a cub with her online English teacher from America.
When Sylvia learns of Bao Bao’s upcoming transfer to the San Diego Zoo in California, she is heart-broken.
Will Sylvia be able to figure out a plan to see her beloved new friend again?

After 33 years of teaching young children in New Jersey, Lillian S. Pagano is a retired educator, mother of four (including triplets!), and a passionate children's author. When she isn’t enjoying the beach, traveling, or meeting with her "Retireads" book club, she is crafting stories that inspire courage and kindness. Her debut book, Bao Bao the Baby Panda, was deeply inspired by two brilliant sisters she taught online in China—Sylvia and Eva—whom she hopes to meet in person one day!
